Crossing conceptual boundaries demands flexibility

Absurdity meets no end in the world of infirmity.

A span of one thousand days could pass without concern, not a thought or sound to be registered.

In matters of stagnation, the soul is relegated to the back of the stage. When it may return is uncertain.

The closest thing to insanity is to be confined to an infinitesimal space without any recognition of its barriers.

If the goal is imprisonment, it is best for the captive to be unaware of their detainment.

A detainee is free to leave at their discretion, as the relegation was involuntary.

So too, is in matters of the ego.

The ego serves as key holder in lieu of administration. It may not hold authority, but it can omit one’s path.

When faced with a wall, the ego will deceive one into thinking the key has been thrown to the other side.

If it can convince you the answer is to be found on the other side of the problem, it can maintain the minimum control that it has.

Another ego tactic, is to create an environment where an answer nor question is not impelled.

If the goal is to prevent action, the control of that would imply postponement of truth.

Without truth, there is no responsibility or incentive.

To inquire, presupposes action, if there is nothing to work on, then there is no viability to change.

The mind is obligated to act, when it has faced an indisputable facet; the problem.

In the case of apathy and relegation of soul, it supposes a lack of depth and vulnerability.

To do nothing is also a choice; by abandoning the body, the mind loses the ability to express itself.

Cornering the mind to the point of intimidation has the opposite effect. If there’s no room to even think or breathe, the problem can be considered shelved.

Desperation can leave one exacerbating the situation to the point of divorce between mind and heart; dissociation.

As a result of this inclination, dilemmas tend to be resolved after a period of deescalation and inactivity. The common denominator is always loss of time.

To shorten the time it takes to resolve cognitive matters, inquiring to the body is advisable.

The problem that is being attended to, is a lack of depth and vulnerability. By consulting the body, an environment that is inviting and encouraging can be created.

This is done through mobility and static stretching, which demands a deeper range of motion, focused breath-work and time under tension.

Engaging with the body in a deep static pose, allows it to be vulnerable and flexible.

With each pose that is expressed and asserted, the body is gauging your command; with each breath exhaled, tension is released; with each repetition, uninhibited connection is strengthened.

What’s being done is facing the body whole heartedly, as if it’s testing your readiness, whether it’s truly time to trust you and that a safe environment has been established, only then will it submit.

It’s about initially asking the question, how can I create an environment that will encourage the answer to be found by itself? What is being offered in this situation? How can this wall being faced serve to further myself?

Without attending to the body’s needs, without stretching and expanding the limits of that machine, you cannot expect to expand in intellectual and emotional pursuits.

It’s about building a relationship with the body machine, to become increasingly sensitive to its level of inhibition, quality of comfort, and degree of tension. These will serve as markers for the machine’s capability and readiness to excel in conceptual pursuits.

If the body is not absolutely reflexive, responsive, light and leisurely, it constitutes a problem. That is the problem that which has to be increasingly sensitive to.

The body’s incapability to engage with the world in a playful and leisurely manner is the same problem as not being able to expand conceptual boundaries, it is an equal issue of flexibility.

With the mind we create. By abandoning one’s physical needs, you create evidence that your environment does not allow for inspiration or creativity. The opposite is also true.
